Rome Class

The Year One children have been transformed into superheroes!

          

         

We had great fun making our Super Hero capes!

         

         

  

Rome Class had a trip to St. James' Church - we really enjoyed looking round the newly refurbished building

         

         

         

         

           

               

    

 

Learning about Dinosaurs has been great!  We made our very own 'Land of the Donosaurs'.

         

         

         

We recently went on a trip the The Manchester Museum - but Stan didn't scare us!!

         

         

Lunch time was fun and we all enjoyed our packed lunches.

         

         

In Literacy we have been writing about Dinosaur facts

In class we had a visit from two Giant African Land Snails.......

         

         

....... and some small snails too!

          

We had a circus skills PE lesson where we played games and learnt new skills

         

         

We were really good at balancing feathers and spinning plates too!

         

         

In Maths we have been learning to multiply and divide

         

         

We had great fun dividing Smarties..........

        

         

         

         

......... and even more fun eating them!

         

         

As part of our History topic on Ancient Rome, we have been learning about Julius Caesar.  Some of the children dressed up as him and others asked questions.

         

         

We were very excited last week because the Police visited us.  We looked at some of the equipment they use and tried on some of their uniform.  They even put the hand cuffs on us and tried to arrest our teachers!

         

         

         

         

         

         

         

 

We've had a visit from the chidlren's teddy bears.  They've had a great time!

As part of our Capital City work we have been making pizza's.  Don't they look delicious?

         

         

         

They were so tasty!

Since we came back to school we have been very busy writing about our

summer holiday and painting self-portraits

          

It was Mrs. Levy's birthday on the 9th September - look at all of her presents!!

This our new ballet display - we even have a ballet dancer in our class!!!
