Big Yellow Balloon Race

UP! UP! AND AWAY!

Elton Primary school took part in the 'Big Yellow Balloon Race' organised by the North West Air Ambulance Charity.  250 balloons were released into a beautiful cloud free sky, watched by many excited pupils and visitors.  The children paid £1 for each balloon with all money going to the North West Air Ambulance.  Schools all over the North West of England were invited to take part in this.  The school of the child whose balloon travelled the furthest was to receive a visit from the North West Air Ambulance as a prize.  This was won by a school in Chorley.
