Sign 2 Sing

We were pleased to be part of the Sign to Sing world record attempt.  The children really enjoyed singing and signing "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing".

 

SignHealth, a national charity, organised the event.  They are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of deaf people and hope to raise some much needed funds to enable them to continue their valuable work.  Children who took part in the event were asked to make a small donation to their charity.

 

The Sign to Sing event is particularly relevant to us.  Our provision for Hearing Impaired children means that our pupils are very deaf aware and have signed to many songs in the past especially as part of their school productions.  We raised £105 in donations.

 

Some of our Year Five girls also decided to sell some of their own books to raise money towards this worthy cause and raised £60.
